The Meaning Thru Movement Tour, built in collaboration with Hoka and later Brooks Running, created a profound impact on the global health and wellness community. Led by best-selling author, activist, and mental health professional Alison Mariella Désir the Tour began in 2020 as a series of virtual events designed to bring the conversation about mental health and wellness into the fitness space.
Originally envisioned as 6 events, the tour grew to 20+ virtual and in-person events and spanned 3 seasons. To date, the tour has reached over 73k attendees in 53 countries globally, generated 12 million media impressions, and been covered in the NY Times, Forbes, Shape, Conde Nast Traveler, and Footwear news. MTM guests are activists, educators, and athletes who have worked tirelessly to advance the conversation around the key issues of racism, social and environmental justice, mental health, and more including: LaTosha Brown and Cliff Allbright, founders of Black Voters Matter and Olympic athletes Alysia Montaño, Aliphine Tuilamuk and Wyomia Tyus.
